Seniors
The Buellton Senior Center was established in 1977 to meet the needs of the senior population in Buellton. We have now expanded our service area to include the entire Santa Ynez Valley and Los Alamos.
Meals and Nutrition
Meals on Wheels delivers meals directly to seniors’ homes 5 days a week. We currently deliver to Buellton and Los Alamos. Two additional cold meals provided to cover the weekend as well.
We are happy to help get you signed up for Meals on Wheels. Just call or come into our offices in Buellton.
Our grocery program provides groceries to seniors and families in need. The grocery bags are designed to provide enough food to last a week. They are packed and ready for pickup at the Buellton Senior Center every Monday by 11am.
We have a 24/7 farmer’s market on the porch of the Buellton Senior center. Anyone in need can come get fresh produce, canned goods, bread, milk and more.
Housing
If you can no longer safely stay in your home, we will be your liaison with the county to find an assisted living facility that you can afford through medicare or social security.
Emergency Housing
We can help you get short-term housing in case of an emergency.
Transportation
We provide transportation to medical appointments, including dialysis, wound care, chemo, and mental health treatment. We provide two options for transportation.
We offer discounted tickets for Dial-a-Ride at $5 for five round-trip tickets. You can use these tickets for any type of transportation within the Santa Ynez Valley – whether it be medical appointments, grocery shopping, or recreational. Learn more at https://www.syvt.com/273/Dial-A-Ride
If you have a medical appointment that is outside Dial-a-Ride’s service area or need an advocate or support at your appointment, we will provide transportation and escort you there.

We have medical supplies like crutches, walkers, and other medical necessities that are available for loan.
Elder Abuse
We are here to be your liaison with the proper authorities if you are suffering from elder abuse.

Scam awareness
We work with the county to stay up-to-date with any scams that might be targeting the senior community. If you think you are being targeted by phone or email, contact us and we will advise you. Know that you always have the right to verify the legitimacy of the claim, and we are here to help!
If you have a need that is not listed here, do not hesitate to contact us. Either we will help you, or we will find someone who can!
