Farmer’s Market
We have a 24/7 farmer’s market on the porch of the Buellton Senior center. It is there for anyone in need to come get food to meet you and your family’s nutritional needs throughout the week.
We supply fresh produce, canned staples, cereal, dry goods like pasta, and more. We are a USDA certified food distributor.
All goods at our farmer’s market are generously supplied by the Santa Barbara County Food Bank, Veggie Rescue, New Frontiers, Albertsons, Valley Fresh, and El Rancho.
Food Donation Connection
Our No Waste Program has been running for years to repurpose food from restaurants in the Santa Ynez Valley into meals for people in need in our community.
Now, with Senate Bill 1383, also known as the Food Recovery Bill, we have expanded our program to work with even more restaurants and businesses to reduce food waste and provide meals for those in need.
We currently work with Albertson’s, Cal Fresh, New Frontier’s, McDonald’s, and Jordano’s and are constantly expanding our program in order to provide more food for the community.
Food cards
We provide food gift cards for Albertson’s, Jim’s Service Station, and McDonald’s to people and families experiencing economic hardship. They are discreet and can be distributed monthly or bi-monthly.
24/7 Emergency Food Phone Line
Our 24/7 Emergency Food Line is meant to service people in need outside of our normal business hours.
We will deliver food, medication, or personal care items to your home if you are unable to leave your home for any reason. Our volunteers are on call to assist you. Just dial (805) 325-9280.
Community Kitchen
Our commercial kitchen is open to community use. This gives the community the opportunity to have a safe, certified kitchen to prepare food for fundraisers, small businesses ventures, community projects, and more.
We are also a safe zone for the American Red Cross. We are equipped to supply food to the community in the event of an emergency or natural disaster.
Rental Assistance
We work with local agencies to provide housing funds for short-term rental assistance due to an emergency.
Emergency Housing
We can help you get short-term housing in case of an emergency.
Thrift Store
The Meals on Wheels Thrift Store is stocked with secondhand clothing, appliances, housewares, furniture, children and infant clothing, toys, and other necessities.
Your donations feed seniors! All proceeds benefit Santa Ynez Valley Community Outreach.
We accept donations from the community during opening hours only. We cannot accept couches, beds, or baby car seats. Please do not leave donations when we are not open.
Open Monday-Saturday 11-3.

Medical Closet
We have medical supplies like crutches, walkers, and other medical necessities that are available for loan.
Gas Vouchers
We typically provide gas vouchers to those who need to get to medical appointments or who are seeking employment. Please contact us if you have a need.
Transitional Job Training
The pandemic taught us that there will always be demand for employees in the service industry.
We will retrain you and give you and give you all the skills you need to know for a service industry job. Learn skills for both the front and back of the house: serving, hosting, cooking, and food preparation.
You can even fulfill probation hours with us and learn marketable skills that can get you a job at the end.
Contact us and we will create a program for you on an individual basis.
American Red Cross Emergency Center
We work in partnership with the Santa Ynez Valley Presbyterian Church in order to have two locations of service in the event of an emergency or natural disaster.
The Buellton Senior Center is equipped to both house people in need and to provide meals. The Presbyterian Church is equipped to provide shelter as well.
If you have a need that is not listed here, do not hesitate to contact us. Either we will help you, or we will find someone who can!
